Welcome to Africa Bound Travels, where every journey is a heartfelt adventure! Founded by Sister Charity, Africa Bound Travels is more than just a travel agency – it’s a passion project driven by love, compassion, and a deep connection to the land of Africa.
My name is Charity, and my journey with Africa Bound Travels began as a tribute to my late husband and mother, who both shared a profound love for Africa. After experiencing personal loss, I found solace and purpose in fulfilling their shared dream of repatriating to Africa. Their ashes now rest peacefully in the embrace of the ocean at Tamala Beach, Gambia.
But my story didn’t end there – it was just the beginning. Inspired by the warm embrace of the Gambian community and fueled by a desire to give back, I purchased a beautiful waterfront property on Ginack Island. This marked the birth of Africa Bound Travels, a platform to share the wonders of Africa with the world while making a meaningful impact on the lives of its people.

Through Africa Bound Travels, I strive to offer travelers an authentic, up-close experience of Africa – one that is historical, educational, and most importantly, lots of fun. Our mission extends beyond tourism, as we work tirelessly to bring joy and support to the less fortunate in the communities we visit.
With a kind and charitable heart, we provide essential supplies, clothing, food, and financial support to women and children in need. Our efforts extend to schools, orphanages, and villages across The Gambia, with plans to expand our reach to other countries like Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, and beyond.
